Information we use

FoundersMuse uses your authenticated account details; the LinkedIn identity, posts, publishing and analytics permissions you approve; your saved company profile and website; uploaded logos and professional media; drafts, approvals and edits; and public research about your company, peers, competitors and industry.

How we use it

We use this information to resolve your professional identity, research current topics, learn your writing style, create drafts and visuals, recommend public conversations, schedule or publish approved posts, and measure post performance and founder-confirmed business outcomes.

Relationships and business outcomes

Relationship records are created only when product evidence supports them, such as repeated engagement. If you enable a CRM webhook, FoundersMuse stores the business events it receives and attributes them to a post only when the CRM supplies an explicit draft, campaign or LinkedIn post identifier.

Tracked links and attribution

When an approved LinkedIn post contains an external link, FoundersMuse may add campaign parameters and route the visit through a FoundersMuse link. We record the destination, campaign, time, referring host, browser category and a short-lived one-way visitor key so we can separate likely preview bots from human visits. We do not store the visitor’s IP address in the tracking event. A visit is not treated as a lead, meeting or sale unless an explicit CRM event or founder confirmation supports it.

LinkedIn, OpenAI and public sources

FoundersMuse uses LinkedIn’s official APIs and only the scopes you approve. It can research public, named peers, founder-approved watchlists, target buyers, competitors and publicly available LinkedIn posts. It does not read a founder’s private feed or identify, inspect or track individual first-, second- or third-degree connections unless LinkedIn explicitly grants that capability. Research and generation may send the minimum necessary professional context to OpenAI. Public web sources may be stored with titles, links and publication dates so recommendations can show their evidence. Each provider processes data under its own terms.

Photos, logos and confidential facts

FoundersMuse uses only media you select or upload. Confidential company facts are excluded from public research, agent recommendations and draft claims; they may be used only to stop unsafe content. Generated visuals may use the company colours and logo you save in Your Company.

Your choices

You may disconnect LinkedIn, pause or reset Muse learning for an executive or Company Page, correct individual learned preferences, disable logo use, remove uploaded media, delete drafts or company facts, and request account deletion. Disconnecting stops new access but does not remove content already published on LinkedIn.

Workspace owners may also use Admin → Permissions → Erase LinkedIn data to permanently remove the LinkedIn connection and the workspace work built from it: encrypted access tokens, permitted LinkedIn analytics and Page records, research, drafts, voice learning, saved media, and related review records. FoundersMuse retains only the authenticated account, essential billing records, and a minimal compliance audit entry that contains no LinkedIn content or identifier. This cannot remove posts that were already published on LinkedIn.

Security and retention

Access tokens and API credentials are stored as encrypted secrets. We retain product data only as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal duties and resolve disputes.
